    Hi lads,

I'm a complete n00b when it comes to sound stuff on the computer.

I have here 2 speakers and a DDTS 100 creative decoder . Is there anyway at all to connect the 2 so that I can have sound on my PC? I don't want any other devices, just the sound for my PC.

Anyone any pointers for me ? Have a SPDIF cable connecting the Decoder to the PC and the normal speaker cables from the speakers to the Decoder - but im not getting any sound. Just noticed it says Audio INPUTS on the back of the decoder where im plugging the speakers in... :o

Feel pointless. All help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Try right-clicking on the volume control icon in the taskbar. Under Playback devices, make sure the SPDIF output is selected as the default device (it may labelled as Digital or similar).

The DDTS 100 has no onboard amplifier. You'll need either a speaker system with an amplifier, or for unpowered speakers a standalone amplifier to drive them.
