    need a new starter asap..
which would be the best to do

    1. get my starter reconditioned
    2. buy a new starter
    3. get a starter of of a breakers

is there any other options i have?

    cheers

What type of vehicle is it off?

If starters are a very common failure (eg Ford Transit) you may just get a new one. Buying a starter from a breakers is not really a great job IMO

recon would be much cheaper than buying new and be of similar quality.

you dont know what your getting from a breakers, it could be worse than what you've already got.
