    Hi all,

I just bought a new Samsung galaxy and I am looking for any recommendations to help me get best out of it. I am new to Androids and not the most techie but Im sure you guys have some good hints on apps etc. I tried going through the deicated thread on the phone but its very confusing for me.

    Any help would be great....

To get the best out of it You're going to have to hack it with a newer or custom firmware getting rid of all the Samsung Touchwiz shíte, this is whats mostly talked about in the big Galaxy thread

Cheers...would I be able to do this easily enough through the other thread. Would changing firmware effect refund or that if I did have to return it for any reason?

Depends, is yours branded? Who did you get it from? If it's unbranded then it's easier to put custom rom on. Samsung devices are a massive pain to work with, not recommended for normal users (if you want something that "just works" get a htc).
