Hello, I plan on doing a college project using Twittter data. It is around information propation through Twitterland... How do I go about getting data/stats from Twitter into an environment like a SQL database or EXcel ?? Any direction welcome. Thanks.

You could make Twitter API calls yourself and parse the data out into an SQL DB.

Or you could use Yahoo's YQL language. http://developer.yahoo.com/yql/
