I was recently out for a few pints with a mate, and he kept all his receipts for Shirts, Shoes, trousers and jumpers for the year that he uses in work and got 456 Euro back by check last week. He is not self employed

What else do your good selves claim back on expenses.

    Cheers.

Embarressed that I have not Claimed this back before now.

Also I have just changed Jobs, should I ask for P21 enquiry?

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheque not check.

Would you care to tell us how he claimed these exactly? As in what box exactly he filled in on his form 12 if he isnt self employed?

    Sounds like bar talk.

I'm in retail and we have always claimed a 56euro per year credit for flat rate expenses etc.

I think it has something to do with the Retail, grocery, and allied trades Employment Regulation Order.

Sorry can't remember more about it, It was about 15 years ago since I claimed for it.
