Okay was using the kindle software for a bit there but got sick of the poor range of books available to Irish users on the american site.
Whats the deal with the apple books?
Is there any other way to read books on the iphone?
    If anyone can help thanks.

I thought the apple ibooks was far better...at least for free books..
I got 4 or 5 of the Sherlock Holmes books and a few older classics all for free.

I was thinking of more recent books in the last couple of decades.
Whats this calibre thing? Would that work on iphone? Or is there any other place that you can buy books for on your iphone?

Download PDF reader and you can use all your PDF files (ebooks)

IMO screen too small for reading books and battery is pish. :D

If you use Calibre, you can convert files from different ebook suppliers to work on your ipod/ipad/iphone/kindle/sony reader etc

    http://calibre-ebook.com/

There's also a number of other apps like stanza and classics which allow you to read books and have access to their own libraries.

Also, if you go to amazon.com, your account, and click on 'manage my kindle', you can just set up a fake UK address to browse/buy the UK library. I'm not sure if there's much difference between the the US and UK sites though. I'm also not sure if this works if you don't actually own a kindle (other than the app) but it's worth a try.

i went to bt junkie and downloaded over 600 books in 1 torrent. once it downloaded all i did was drag it straight into my library n it was all in there simple as that. even all the artwork of the book goes in.
if u dont want so many books just make sure the file is in "epub" and it will work fine with iphone. if they are not in epub format go to www.2epub.com and it will convert most formats

Ok, you are new to this board so friendly advice here... Making a public statement that you are maybe doing illegal downloading is not the best thing to do as your statement is now documented , your account and your IP address recorded and now you can be easily tracked to your real identity.
