    Some tax advice please.

I was married in 2010. I’m PAYE and my wife is Public Sector. We are presently assessed separately. Outside Bin Charges, Medical Fees and TRS relief on my mortgage are there any other reliefs we should be aware of? Should we consider joint assessment given the recent tax changes?

Also, I bought and sold shares in an ISEQ listed company during 2010 suffering a 2k loss. Do I need to register this loss now in case I want to avail of this loss against a gain in the coming years?

    Thanks for your help.
