Networking in Dublin

    Hello all,

I recently moved to Dublin with my Girlfriend who is studying here (I say recently, but its been nearly 4 months already) and lets just say we've both found it a little difficult to meet people who have similar interests.

I graduated from an Animation Production course in Bournemouth in the UK in July of last year with a BA (Hons). I specialised in traditional 2D animation but I am also versed with After Effects, Flash, Photoshop and a little bit of Maya. I've been looking for work in the industry here, but it's a little hard to break into. I'd say my portfolio and showreel are pretty good, but I guess there are a lot of people competing for very few jobs. Is anyone else in a similar situation?

What I'm saying is I would like to get to know some creative people in Dublin for socialising and perhaps collaborating on something. What I miss most about uni was being with other animators and having other people to bounce ideas off.

    So give me a shout!
