Can anyone reccomend somewhere nice to drink and/or purchase tea in Dublin? I saw a tea place in the Swan center in Rathmines the last day but I was in a mad rush and I didn't have time to pop in. I also read in the paper that there's a new tea place opening in Portobello...has anyone heard anything about it? And has anyone tried the Tea Garden on Ormond Quay (any have any reccommendations from their menu?!)

There are a couple of nice shops that sell a wide variety of teas - Le Palais des Thés on Wicklow Street and one in Powerscourt Shopping Centre.

    Enjoy

Le Palais des Thés is really nice, but quite pricey. Staff are really helpful and knowledgable though.

I've not been to the Tea Garden, but 3FE on Middle Abbey St. are serving some nice teas at the moment. If you want to try something different, ask for a cascára :)

I've been to the Tea Garden on Ormond Quay, only a couple of times though. It's really good. It's got lots of different areas and it's nice and relaxed.

There's also a really nice tea shop on Berkeley St. near the blessington basin. They have the pots of tea right out on show and lift the lids up for you to smell and everything. Haven't been there in a while either but as far as I know it's still open. When I went there in the summer a few times, they had some chairs out on the street where you could drink a cup in the sun.

cheers folks:) I've checked out Le Palais des Thés a few times and they've some nice stuff (and cool teapots and cups too!). 3Fe is there at the Twisted Pepper innit? Must give it a whirl!
