Years ago I played on my Windows machine a trial of a game I think was named Gravity Wells.

The idea was that you start out and you have to go around the solar system colonising planets.
You take a planet by landing on it and staying there until it was captured. You could then build defences and a space port and such and trade with other planets you owned.

All planets and the sun in the centre had a gravity well that made it hard to land on (Lunar Lander style) and bulilding the space port made it easier, plus you could build guns on it to defend against AI ships.

    Does anyone remember this?
    A Link maybe?
    Google says nothing.

Pic attached, it was Vector graphic and I remember playing as an orange ship.
