Keep the last two weeks of August free.
Week 1 - Semester One Repeats
Week 2 - Semester Two Repeats

As far as I know the fee has gone up this year to at least €200.

Flat fee, doesn't matter how many you repeat.

what happens if you fail everything in semester one?? are you alowed to continue with semester 2??

You can fail everything in your christmas AND summer exams, but if you pass the repeats in August you can still progress.

As long as after the repeats you have only two fails MAXIMUM you can progress and repeat those fails in the next year.

If, after the august repeats, you have still failed more than two exams, you cannot progress into the next year and must repeat the year.

if you fail more than 2 in August can you take the year out and sit the exams again the following August?

No, you would have to repeat the year and re-sit whatever exams you failed at christmas or summer depending on the semester they were in.

So if you failed a semester 1 exam, then failed the repeat, you would have to sit the exam in semester 1 exams at christmas again.

just a word of warning too folks, that if you started a level 6 or 7 and are doing an additional add on year, you can NOT progress with ANY fails. 100% pass in august or you can't continue
