    Hey there folkies!

    Hope you can help me!

I got a sample of the Vichy Dermablend foundation the other day, used it, LOVED IT, amazing coverage etc. But forgot to take an aul snap of myself wearing it to see how it photographs with a flash!! (for nights out etc.)

Can anyone shed some light on this before I purchase it??

OR ALTERNATIVELY, can ye recommend a full coverage foundation (preferably not MAC, breaks me out!) that does photograph well with flash??!!

    Thank y'all kindly!

    Laura

There's been a couple of threads recently that say foundations with SPF don't photograph well. Does the Vichy one have an SPF?

    Hey Twee.!!

    Thanks for your prompt reply!

Yes it does contain SPF 20, and I do know that the Titanium Dioxide in SPF does cause a white cast in flash photography, however, I find that MAC's Studio Fix Fluid photographs well despite its' SPF 15 so I figured that it's less to do with the SPF level and more to do with the Titanium Dioxide level. Whooooh, mouthful lol!

The only way to really truly find out is to take photographs oneself. Just wanted to see if anyone else had done so!

    :)

Allo fartyarse! (your name makes me giggle, I likes it!)

Can't vouch for Dermablend but with regard to the full coverage foundation, I recently switched from Estee Lauder Doublewear (simply couldn't afford it anymore) to Revlon Colourstay for oily skin. They do it for normal/dry and normal/oily, and I have to say my skin has never looked better in photos, it builds really well or you can wear it lightly for a sheer "I'm not wearing any foundation!" look, which I never thought would be an option for me due to acne scarring.. I'd say get a little stack of containers like in boots or something, and pour some of the testers into them, take them home, try them, take a photo, wear it for a day, and make a proper judgement. I did that when I was trying out the last batch of foundations and was delighted I did, I'm not buying anything on spec anymore!

    Hey Kezimus!

Yea I loves my username, I ain't no lady, let's put it that way :)

Yea I've used the colorstay and it shows up like this on me in photos (see attachment)... and the shade was PERFECT in real life so that foundation appears to not agree with me in photos... BOO! :(

Thanks for your help though girl!! Great idea regarding the sample pots!

yup i think most beauticians stock artdeco, but Chleo Enterprises are the main company ones who stock artdeco i would call them and see if you can order from them first it might be a bit cheaper.
