Does Conor Lenihan think we are all thick .? We never heard a peep out of him all these years ,and suddnely he is trying to act the alpha gorilla and roar and shout and give out and look like he cares about the country .When we all know he is just another of the scrambling rats looking to keep his rat hole on the sinking ship .

Agree with the result, but the order is different, would say rabbitte 1 hayes 2 and either crowe or maloney 3 and 4. Although am still fearful of Charlies pulling power its up to the other candidates to keep reminding people he is in Fianna Fail he does his best to distance himself a lot from them locally, the idiot.

    1. Pat Rabbite
    2. Brian Hayes
    3. Sean Crowe
    4. Charlie O'Connor

Lab did well in the locals but they always do. This doesn't always translate into GE votes. I expect Mick Murphy and/or some other left candidate to hoover up most of the transfers from Rabbite and Crowe that Maloney would need.

The fact that FG are only running 1 candidate would indicate a very cautious approach in this area. If FF adopt a similar approach they would win a seat. I had heard rumours of Lenihan moving to Dublin South but I think Maria Corrigan got the nod there so that looks unlikely. FF ran a very well planned campaign here last year managing to get Lenihan and O'Connor in at the expense of Crowe. I predict they will do just enough to get O'Connor in who would have much more of a presence than Lenihan.

I'd agree with your post DB. I don't think Crowe has done much for the area and his track record is relatively poor. You can't rule out the popularity of Mr Tallaght aka Charlie O'Connor, but listening to him recently, The Party is right at the top of his agenda. If he ran as an independent, that would probably boost his chances significantly.

Having said that, didn't O'Connor struggle a little in GE07?

i think that people are seeing through that "Mr Tallaght" Crap here two questions i would like him to answer:
! Why did he vote for Tallaght hospital to lose the children's dept.
    2. Why did he vote for a budget that the people of his beloved Tallaght are feeling the most effects of ie. Tax Increases and Dole Cuts

love to here him answer those!!!!

I'm going to register just for the satisfaction of voting NO to fianna Fail. I could care less who gets in after that.

Vote NO? This isn't a referendum. That would spoil your vote. Use the numbers. I suppose the best way to do that would be to give your 1st pref to whoever would be close with FF for the final seat.

Im not up to date on the hospital situation but I found this online. So your 1st point may not be true. He will give you a good aul spiel for the 2nd one: "in the national interest.......:)"

Edit: just reread the blog and I see the article is from 2007 so things must have changed
