    sorry about the bad quality photos but i handt much of a background to be taking the photos.
    they were up in a common alder, these trees seem very popular amongst Redpolls, Goldfinches, etc.
    id check them out if i were ye, they are normally along rivers and waterways.

    Yes these are Siskins. The one on the right of the last photo is a male (with the black cap), the other images seem to show females, although maybe the very first is also male. They love alders, and alders grow very fast and easily if you have wettish ground.
