Thats as old as the hills that video, The bomb itself was not dropped, the rack to which the bomb is connected to became loose and flew off, it is not as aerodynamic as a bomb so simply flung off rather turbulently hitting the A4.

And the Skyhawk is higher, she was lower initially but is higher.

Yup, skyhawk was higher, it was a test of the bomb jettisoning and the nacelle was meant to go with it.

There were 2 explosive bolts holding the nacelle. The front bolt was meant to go off first so the bomb would point downwards. However in this case the back bolt went off first causing the bomb to point upwards.

At least two fighters have managed to shoot themselves down with fixed forward firing cannon, so be careful about assumptions!

    How did they manage that?

I remember that story when I was a kid and that was a long time ago. The jet was flying at high speed, possibly supersonic or at least high subsonic. It fired it's cannons and descended eventually catching up with the shells which by now would have dropped in a nice parabola and lost speed. The only bit I can remember is that it was an American jet.

    Correct.

F-11 Tiger was the first one, I think the other was an F-86 Sabre.

There's also HMS Trinidad, a British WWII light cruiser which managed to sink itself with a straight-running torpedo. There was ice in the steering system, and it froze into a position resulting in running a long circle.
