Dodgy car ad

Was browsing done deal and came across this ad http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1830674

First thing that hit me was that the main picture was taken from a car behind in traffic, and the s-type badge is on in one picture and gone in the other.

the ad also says that it is left hand drive, when the pictures clearly shows right hand drive.

The reg has been photoshopped onto the back in the 5th picture where it's parked. You need to do a side-by-side to see the small differences.

all the pics are taken in a drive bar one. it says may swap for a left hand drive, not that it is one.

Yeah you can see that the screws on the reg on the second one have been photoshopped over.

It is possible that the first picture was taken by a friend sometime in the past and in the meantime he's gotten a new badge and a plate with tape on the back rather than screws. Signs of a crash maybe.

The reg is not photoshopped. It's just that the reg is over exposed in the last pic.

im looking at the picture showing the rear end in the driveway, and the reg does look photoshopped, the blue IRL detail has to much border around it, the screws are missing this time around, and it just seems, in a way i cant put my finger on, wrong!

There was no flash used and it does't look like the sun is shining down directly at it. You can see plenty of detail around it. I agree that it does look just a bit...wrong. But if it is photoshopped, it's quite impressive.

Number plates are highly reflective as it is, it wouldn't need a lot of extra light to create that effect. And as you said, it's take literally hours of work to get it as it appears in that pic with all the detail, and the viewing angle etc. And you have to ask why would he, if the reg is visible up front.

im just taking the thing as a whole. the images, the wording of the advert, and the name of the guy ( i know im gonna be crucified for that last one)

I never thought of that. But you can see a reflection in the bumper and on the chrome above the 99 but there seems to be no change in the brightness around the 99 on the reg.

I'm clutching at straws here. I feel like a desperate conspiracy theorist. Maybe he just photoshopped it to clean it up a bit. If he really was pulling some kind of con he could have just:
    a) not taken a second picture of the back;
    2) moved the reg from the front to the back for the picture; or
    d) bought a new plate.

He says he would consider a swap for a left had drive, I live in Kildare might go and have a look for the fun of it....

The two pics of the rear differ also in the stickers on the screen visible in one and not the other.

i couldnt see anything wrong until i noticed the baile atha cliath is closer to the numbers in the OTR pic than the other... looks like its had a new number plate and an S badge added /taken off, so maybe it did have a little tip up the back at some stage.

New reg plate, addition of S type badge & loss of rear screen sticker suggests either rear accident inclding new rear screen or else its a completely different car.
