I am looking at changing up and getting a .223. The 2 models I am looking at are a Ruger M77 and a Remington M7.
Any advice, pros and cons would be greatly appreciated.

Same as, I just like them. the Safety on the M77's a good job too. I also think they handle better than the Remmy...

Model 7 shorter and lighter, more specialized for stalking, hunting.

Model 700 is a tad heavier and has slight differences in barrel contour and how the reciever was made.

But stocksAFAIK will fit Model 7 and 700 as will all other parts.

    I'd go Model 700

Here is a sexy rifle IMHO

i liked the rugers i handled, remingtons have one of the best actions but unless your getting one of the top models like a vssf or similar they can be poor quality, stock and barrel wise, if i was building a custom rifle i'd use a remmy action, but if i was buying a cheap rifle i wouldn't buy a remmy

    Fair comment.
However my VTR was very cheap, and after a few tweaks is very accurate and very short and compact 24" with Mod on Barrel.

PSE stock was the most expensive addition, however worth it's weight in gold!

I'm so happy with my Current rifle I don't want to leave it down at all!

was very cheap, but how much has it cost you altogether now?
with the amount you put into it along with the cost of the rifle you probably could have just built one similar for less money

Custom stock, Timney trigger and rifle ~ €1500.
No rifle on the Market suited me. Back when I had cash out my ears I would have spent 3k on a rifle if it suited me.

However no Right handed left stocked Rifles on the Market and I did not want a leftie rifle

She is seriously accurate and light and very compact.

I reckon a similar Factory Rifle ~ 2.5k to buy new or perhaps more

The joy of a Remington is it is like a Ruger 10/22. You can Tart her up or down.
And when you get bored with her you can do it again
