Anybody know where i could get the capacitors replaced on my sega game gear. It currently has no sound, has to be held at 45 degrees to see the screen and the ac adaptor socket needs adjustment. There is a chap on ebay that repairs all but i dont really want to post it to the uk. Any irish alternative??:)

It depends on the level of electrlytic fluid leak, sound boards seem to suffer more with this. I wouldn't say its hard as such, just not very easy.

I'm ordering up a repair kit for my 2nd GG today or tomorrow, do you want me to order one for yourself while I'm doing it?

Just to note as I've already had my Gamegear fixed by Enternow - you won't be dissapointed! The difference after the new caps are installed is amazing. It's like factory new.

No thanks enternow. My gamegear has too many problems, the screen, the ound and the adapter socket is loose. Just going to send it to the uk for repair it costs €20 with postage. Do you think this is a reasonable price or could i get the same work done here for approx the same budget?

€20 including postage? Seems quite reasonable, make sure & give us feedback on the place :)

I'm sure that's not too complicated to fix?

That does sound suspiciously inexpensive. The postage alone would cost that...?

The service is on eBay I didn't want to post a link in case it violated forum rules.
