Mobile trading unit - Dublin City or Docklands

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can pass on some advice.

I have a business idea involving a mobile trading unit (like a coffe angel) and think the Dublin City or Docklands area would be a good place to start.

How do I get permission to trade in this area? I have taken a look at Dublin City Councils website and can see a number of streets named with rates beside each for a licence? Is the licence a yearly charge to trade in this area?
Is it possible to sit down with them and put your case across or is it a straight yes/no?

Is it possible to get a licence to trade in an area outside the areas named?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Apehead

In the docklands you have the market in the IFSC which I dont think takes mobile units and then the point village one which I think is closed until may.

Google point village market and then fill out the form to apply for a pitch. They are very formal and you would want to have a look whats there first.

Selling on the street can be a pain as its hard to find a place to park up.

    Thanks Mr Matisse.

I have taken a look at both of these already, they maybe an option but its more a permanent (or semi permannent if I move around) presence I would be looking for rather than 1 day a week?
