This is a strange one but it's annoying me so much that I'm really thinking of switching back to my iphone 4.

Whenever I'm listening to music and on a 3g connection with earphones and use the official Twitter app and refresh any timeline/stream my music will skip and stutter.

Anyone ever come across this before? have tried different earphones, doesn't happen with earphones and on wifi connection, and doesn't happen with music playing through speakers whilst on 3g or wifi. happens no matter what music player I use either, have tried winamp, default media player and powerAMP.

With all the different combinations above I pretty certain it's not a hardware fault.

*EDIT* forgot to say the phone is from meteor (Desire HD model A9191) and it's running 2.2

Hey seems like your ram is up to the neck in processing which is causing lag in your device. My advice would be going to your processes seeing as android sometimes keeps thinks on in the background, stop some of the processes and try again. I also heard if you turn on USB debugging it stops the lag. Oh and finally check that your running on the lastest firmware.

happens even with a full reboot of the phone.

On mine using Winamp to listen to music, if I get any form of notification, it'll mute the music and play the notification sound which causes the track to skip

Its the notification - it's a known issue in android and there are lots of requests to fix it (i.e. not to pause the current audio output).

Glad i'm not alone so, back to iphone 4 i guess.

sorry android great phone and all that but if i give you a phone with a 1ghz cpu and 700megs of ram i expect you to at least be able to play two sounds at once.
