Have I been wearing daily lens for a week?

I normally wear the Day & Night 24 hour lens which I find amazing. They're the ones you wear all the time for a month.

The last time I was in the optician, there was a mix up and I was given three months' of daily lens rather than the D&Ns. When I went back to exchange them, I ended up being given three different brands of D&Ns. I also have a couple of sets of daily lens for just in case. When I went to change my lens last weekend, I found myself with about 8 different lots and I used a dubitable process of elimination to figure out which ones were the continuous use ones.

My eyes have been fairly dry in the morning since, but I've found that happens with some of the D&Ns anyway. Then last night one of my eyes got very sore so I had to take out the lens altogether. Feels much better today.

Now, I'm not sure if I just have a bit of an infection - I have had about 3 in the last year - or if I've been wearing daily lens for way too long.

I used to use the monthly lens that you're only supposed to wear for 10 hours a day, and I know the pain of sleeping in them - it's not that kind of pain.

I know I need to head into the optician, but I was wondering if there's any way of checking through the serial number what kind of lens I've been using. The bubble the lens came in has a black back with the LOT number A0172454 and that's pretty much it other than a DD02 and and 8.6 together with the expiry date and the eyesight number. Can I figure out what they are through this?

Whatever about using daily lens for a week - if I've been sleeping with them in and only now have a problem, I'm pretty impressed!!

    Mystery!!
