No I amn't suggesting that they are providing a freeview service or that it is on Terrestrial. Sorry.

Setanta can avail of the BAI's Sound and Vision fund as long as those programmes are broadcast unencrypted.

Today it happened at 12:30 for a show called prilgrims according to UPC EPG.

Anyone on Satellite that doesn't subscribe to Setanta get to view this show?

I will post up a list of Freeview schedule hours so you can check.

    Thanks.

I use my sky sub card in my vuplus. I didnt check if show was FTA or the vuplus was reading the card to clear the channel. Im not subscribed to setanta but it was clearing anyway

I will check Fran at 10pm to see if it is FTA.

I just realised today is Wednesday. Woops.

I was going through their schedule for that list and was surprised to see that none of the Fran repeats are unencrypted. On the other hand "On The Fly" seems to get allot of their "freeview" time.

Can you Sky + these shows?

    I don't have Sky.

Sky+ requires a Sky subscription so recording with that wouldn't be a good indicator of a programme being FTA or FTV.

Setanta did a fta day the christmas before the one just passed but as far as i know you needs a sly card to view it. Will check my old sly box and card for on the fly tomorrow morning to see if it clears.
Thanks for the heads up anyway, would have like to have seen the on the fly series, pity i did not see this earlier in the week.:(

Anyone receiving setanta subscription on an ex sub sly box and a previously paired card these days? I used to subscribe this way pre the introduction of the newer white sly cards and was wondering if its still possible?

Their FreeView times should be available to all satellite viewers.

:pac: Cheers for sorting that out Watty.

Why do people still think calling Sky sly or $ky is big and clever,it's a tired old joke folks. If you don't like pay tv fair enough but grow up.
You can pick up the unencrypted freeview programmes from Setanta without a card on a Sky box.

Setanta Ireland is currently showing one of their Free View programmes and it is not FTA

Apologies-checked it out and forgot I had to use an expired Irish card to get Setanta Freeview.

Is this only available on a Sky box or can it be received on other satellite receivers too ...... with a Setanta 'free to view' card?

Is there a Setanta Free to View card.

How does it all work, are setanta only available on Sky in Ireland and therefore cann't have freeview hours on FTA Satellite?

Golf Central is part of the Freeview programming.

I don't understand why Setanta Ireland doesn't become a news service, Sky Sport News get far more of an audience and Setanta have a online news service anyway.
