    Hi all,

A little later this year I think I'll be in the market for a new car and was wondering if anyone / everyone could give me a bit of advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm looking for a Nissan Quashqai, Toyota Rav4, Hyundai Santa Fe type car (4*4, you get my drift) and I'm wondering what the general opinion is about these cars and which one (or one I haven't mentioned) is the best of their type to get?

    Thanks in advance

    The Rook

    Few questions

    What's your budget?
    Do you need 4WD?
    Do you need 7 seats?
Are you buying new or used?
    What's your annual mileage?

Considered the Skoda Yeti? Not the best looking, but I do think it is the best!

    1. Anywhere between 15 & 20k
    2. DOn't NEED 4WD but if I can get it for that price then great
    3. Nope, don't need 7 seats
    4. Wouldn't buy new, would be happy with 2007/2008
    5. Annual mileage....don't actually know....

Qashqai 1.5 dCi would be the one to go for.
Tax cheap even on pre 08 models
    Cheap
    Plentiful
    Economical
    Good looks
    Cheap maintenance

    +1

My mum drover a Santa Fe fou a few years from 04 - 08. Found it to be too large, slow and not very economical. She then got an 08 Qashqai and loved it. The only thing about that model Qashqai is there appears to be a weakness in the rear shocks that causes a rattle after some time. However she got them replaced at the dealer and they went fine since. She just traded up for a second hand 10 plate from the UK (n-tec spec). Great car... even better than the original.

She drives a 1.5 diesel btw. Very economical and a lovely car to drive.
