How long does a Taoiseach need to stay in office to be pensionable?

As per title, I believe it's 2.5 years for ministers. Is it the same length of time or longer for a Taoiseach?

My understanding was 2 years. Longer service = longer pension IIRC

Being completely honest, what could he do with a Taoiseach's pension that he couldn't do with a minister's. Also, rule changes mean he can't draw it immediately, he'll be on a backbencher's salary by the end of the year, only thing he'll have is the car.

If it's 2.5 years for ministers, how come Tony Kileen is getting a big pension, after being a cabinet minister for just 10 months?

Or is what what I read 'just' a TD's pension?

Cowen had until april for that pension increase but I don't think it was about the money
