Try using the a Microsoft Fix It for when you can't uninstall Office 2010.

Microsoft Help and Support - How do I uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if I cannot uninstall it from Control Panel?

If that doesn't work then I think the easiest and cleanest thing to do might be a System Restore. This will remove all the bits of Office that have been installed on your machine and should allow you to re-install with a clean slate.

Start System Restore and find the restore point that was made just before you first Office 2010 was installed. Select that restore point and click on Scan for affected programs. A list will appear with all the programs that will need to be re-installed after it; you should make a note of these.

Then click next and follow the instructions. When the System Restore is completed then try re-installing Office 2010.

Let us know how you get on. :)
