what was the name of this kids show in the early 90's?

Here's one for ye to think over- can anyone remember the name of the kids tv show from the early 90s, I think it was aussie and set on a 'tropical'' island. There was a black girl in it with a very jamaican accent and her brother was called Joe-Joe or Jo Jo. Any ideas?

Yeah I remember that. It was a children's Detective series, I think the BBC or ITV were involved.

From what I remember

It was a children's Detective series set some were in the Caribbean perhaps Jamaica. I think there were two other children in it from England on holidays. Jo-jo was the name of her brother alright. It was set around a Hotel.

Was it Runaway Bay by any chance? I don't know how I retained that piece of information

You beat me to it. As soon as I read the OP I knew that it was Runaway Bay, although like you, don't know why I remembered it. Great show, from what I recall.
