Is there an App out there that allows you to send free International texts? I know that Cabbage doesn't allow it. So is there an app that will?

I did a search on here first on the App site and on this forum but can't find anything.

Cabbage will if you are with o2 as o2 free webtexts can be sent internationally.

It's carrier dependent not a cabbage issue really.

I don't know of any other app that will let you send int. texts for free, maybe someone else can help you there.

You can send Vodafone web texts to international numbers too, so Cabbage will send international texts on Vodafone.

Thanks for your reply, but this is for a friend on 3 & you can't text for free on 3 to international numbers.

Wrong forum - this is for android apps. Try posting it here.

    Fair enough.
It's worth noting though that the phone number and password you enter into Cabbage does not have to correspond with the SIM card in the phone. If your friend has a parent/gf/bf/friend who uses Vodafone or O2 but doesn't use their web texts, then your friend could use them instead (from their 3 handset).

It's also on android and blackberry. Truly fantastic app. Every smartphone user should have it.

i live in northern ireland and frequently text to south and vice versa.
for years ive been trying to get the cheapest way to text.
best ive found so far is to use FISHTEXT.
set up account online then get WEBSMS on android , it will link you to fishtext on your mobile.
texts arent free but 1p which is ok by me considering i was paying 20p.
very reliable, also on andorid the texts come up as sent and recieved in your normal SMS box so you can follow threads.

anyone know of better , id be interested to know , this is an app i use many times a day

Sorry Hawkwind it will work in the south but what i can see you have to get a virtual number, 15 euros. Im a cheap skate i was hoping to get texts to the uk for free. My meteor webtexts don't work to the uk

you dont have to buy a virtual number.
the tests are received from your regular mobile number.
im not here to promote the thing.
    read the instructions right
