Help Please-Emergency Order for access to children.

I am a father of two in the middle of a divorce. I havent seen my children for almost a month now. My ex wont answer the door of the apartment or respond to phone calls, txt facebook or email. I have a solicitor for the divorce proceedings but prior to this access wasnt an issue it was mutually agreed and worked okay albeit not as much time as I would like with my kids.

I have fallen on increasingly hard times lately with money but I do have a job thankfully more than some can say so I realise I am lucky but all I have in my life really are my kids. I have big bills outstanding with the solicitor and I am paying in installments but the solicitor wont act for me any more until my installments have the bill at a certain level and I am very much backed into a corner.

What I want to do is go for an emergency order to grant me access to my kids- I cant afford the solicitor to act but I am going to try and represent myself- I am not being silly or naieve when I say I have seen what the solicitors do in court and it seems to be very little only talk to the judge- I would be very nervous but Im sure I could do it if it means I get to see my kids.

I have done nothing wrong ever or harmed a hair on the kids head, there is no reason that I shouldnt get to see them- my ex is just trying to hurt me through them and she has been for some time now by saying horrible things to the kids but I havent risen to the bait and I just concentrate on loving the kids every second I have them and being the best and kindest Dad I can be.

Can anyone on here please give me some advise on where I would even begin? Do I just ring the courts do I ask them for a date - do I have to summons my (soon to be) ex wife?

Can you not get legal aid?

contact your local citizen advice centre, or drop into your nearest family law court. They will advise you at the desk , where to go for help with this..

Thanks I tried legal aid but my wages are just over the threshold and they dont take into account outgoings such as loans mortgages or maintenance. They said no, my wages dropped after budget so I will try again, but Im looking for a qucik fix now so I get to see my kids, as in the next few days quick. I miss them so much- Im lonely.
