    Ninety9er has one on his astra. He uses it for resting his arm on.
    It's made of fake plastic wood which matches his dash.

    I bought one of those last year and fitted it to my Golf. ( The one specifically for my car ) It lasted for about 10 months before breaking. It is not very strong and does not stand up to normal wear and tear. The weak point of the armrest is where it attaches to the car. I have to say I was very disappointed as I had a proper one in my last car and now I really miss it.
