Ugh. This happened to me on WaW. And the when I asked around about everyone accused me of cheating. Terrible. There was nothing I could do. Treyarch acknowledged the problem (which had to do with stats being lost while they were being updated). They fixed it but said that there was nothing they could do for the people who were affected.

ya that's what I'm thinking,I wasn't very high but what worries me is if it happens again while I'm further up the stats.

Something similar happened to me I backed out of a lobby and it had "(1)" after my name, I had no money and my title was blank. When I tried to join a game it said something like the guest cannot use this function. So I turned the computer off and back on and all my money was gone! Not as bad as what happened to you but still upsetting.

PS3 and PC gamers in the UK aren't happy with how Black Ops is turning out despite patching

Activision could be taken to task in the United Kingdom over some serious dissatisfaction from consumers claiming that the publisher got sloppy with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops in the PAL market. UK independant pressure group Gamers' Voice, first established on Facebook back in November 2009 by Labour MP Tom Watson as an outlet for gamers across the UK to unite and tackle mainstream media misconceptions against the gaming industry, is now tackling Activision over Black Ops.

Back on December 15th, GV reported it was "literally swamped with emails from UK gamers angrier than birds whose eggs have been stolen by grinning green pigs" over what they deemed was the buggy and "unfinished" state of Call of Duty: Black Ops, particularly for the PS3 and PC platforms. The group then forwarded an open letter to Activision on December 22nd hoping to get an official response, and perhaps some word over what they might do to "recompense" affected buyers, but it appears the publisher has yet to respond. Looking to have its quandary taken more seriously, GV now intends to make a formal complaint to the UK Office of Fair Trading. Chris O'Regan, GV's Head of Industry Relations, explains to IncGamers:

"As a result of their inaction we will test the might of government agencies against Activision. We can only hope this brings about some litigious action. These agencies do exist to protect our rights as consumers, let us see if they can fullfill their remit on this pressing issue.

"GV wish to set an example with Activision to ensure games are not released in an unfinished state. If litigation is initiated, then a precedent would be set. In other words, publishers will have to reconsider releasing unfinished code in the future, in the UK at least."

The case is already building in the UK: the Trading Standards Institute last month similarly noted that purchasers of buggy software like Black Ops really ought to be entitled to refunds or damages, citing the Sale of Goods Act 1979 which described that "If the game is faulty, then the consumer should be entitled to a refund from the retailer (although it is not unreasonable for the retailer to return it to the manufacturer in order to ensure it is, indeed, faulty and it is not operator error, or a problem with the consumer's computer)."
