Ms Harney will receive:
* An annual ministerial pension of about €69,200.
* A TD's pension of around €50,600 per year.
* A pension lump sum of around €160,000.
* A termination lump sum of around €17,000.
* And a year of monthly termination payments from the Oireachtas worth another €66,900.
She will also get additional payments for serving as Tanaiste between 1997 and 2006 in the Fianna Fail-Progressive Democrat coalitions.
The €50,600 TD pension only kicks in once the monthly termination payments, paid the year immediately after retirement, have stopped.
The total package is at least €313,100 over the next year, whereas she would have received around €322,300 if she retired before the Budget.

I think we need to make a whip round for Mary.Its a matter of national importance.How can we expect one of our top GOVERNMENT ministers to survive on the above pittance.
Mary has shed blood, sweat and tears on our behalf.Could well have developed an eating disorder due to stress for all we know.All we can do , to show our appreciation for all her sacrifices is to offer her measly ........... Money .
As if that will cover all the sleepless nights and days of maltreatment suffered .For Gawds sake!...someone even threw eggs and cheese at the woman.
We need to offer her support,respect and show our thanks though this difficult time ,by posting messages of comfort , love and best wishes.

Lived in the Netherlands for 10 years......social healthcare. And it WORKED!! The government faced down the doctors/consultants etc. And the government won! 25EU to go to the doc, A&E free.....no 'us and them'.
ZERO political will by our gov to change anything. Only people who will vote for them will be their banker buddies.

What's their percentage in the voting population??? Is there enough banker to vote the &£$"ers back in???
