Help On Choosing My Engagement Ring... Please!!London?

    Hi All
    I have just joined so this is my first post :confused:
    My partner & I have just started to look for an engagement ring
    We have looked at just one shop in Kildare and I picked a three stone princess cut platinum ring which cost almost 4k :eek::eek:
    Is Platinum the best quality as I want something that will last? What about white gold?
    I had thought I would pick a three round stone ring
    We are going to london in a few weeks, would we be better off picking up one there?

    I wouldn't bother getting white gold tbh - you'll need to get it re-dipped after a while. Stick with platinum.

    Why don't you just wait and see how you get on in London and then decide?

    Platinum is more expensive than white gold, but white gold has to be dipped every couple of years, but I don't think this is too expensive.
    Be open about what you want, because what I thought I would like I hated when I tried it on. Try on everything!! And try Voltaire diamonds in Dublin, good prices, worth a try! http://www.voltairediamonds.ie/

    we bought my engagement ring at cool diamonds in london. they have an excellent website and from shopping around we got a great deal. they'll deliver free to Ireland and i've just heard it's been delivered today.
