    I am paid 20€ per day lunch allowance do i have to pay tax on it as i am a sales rep and on the road everyday >>

    Depends how long you are on the road each day. I'd say you might owe tax on the €6.30 difference to the 5 hour rate unless you can prove to Revenue you are away for more than 10 hours (with a detailed log or such).

    But there are loads of considerations:

    1. Do you do any overnights? And are they paid by the company?

    2. Surely you have to submit documentation to your employer? and they come up with this €20 rate from somewhere?

    Go talk to them. They should be regulating this.
