    Hi All ,
Just got UPC Digital + Box installed with my HD tv in Cork . It was connected via Scart lead . The UPC box itself has no HDMI output so wondering how I can get the TV connected to the Box via HDMI?

    Is there a Scart/HDMI adapter I can get ?
    THANKS
    Mark

If there's no HDMI on the box then it's a standard definition PVR. HDMI would be of little benefit to you in this case as the box can't do HD - RGB SCART should be fine.

Was just about to ask why he wanted a hdmi connection when he doesn't have a hd box????

I assumed that too but maybe the TV only has HDMI inputs?

As stated it would be completely pointless for a hd cable for a non HD box.

The TV has 3 HDMI ports + 1 Scart .
Assumed the UPC Digital Box had HDMI as standard (was installed yesterday morn) , so by right I should get onto UPC and get a HD box?

you will need a new box, likely a new subscription to receive HD channels. I doubt they give you the box with a standard package, it would still be just as pointless (bar, possibly, the free to air HD like BBC HD).

Only Aerial and Satellite has Free To Air. ALL cable channels are pay Tv/included in sub, no matter if FTA elsewhere.
