The timing of the election could not be worse for me, unfortunately due to prior commitments I will be out of the country.
I do so want to vote, I would hate to think that a fianna fail candidate might get elected because I was unable to vote.
Help me ... how can I vote if I am not in the country that day???????

You can't. Simple as that I am afraid.

I am probably in the same boat, but there is nothing you can do about it but try to get out of your prior commitment, unfortunately.

I'm flying out that morning - what time do the centres normally open?

It depends if this Government lasts until the 11th of March which is doubtful tbh. The best advice is to "watch this space".

Going to try to organise my holidays to be home in Ireland to vote. One more nail in the FF coffin ship.

This is crazy, UK citizens living abroad can vote in there national elections.

As can Irish citizens. He is, however, off on his holidays.

    Slightly different narrative at play

that's what the Taoiseach said. But then again he doesn't always get things right, now does he.

As we've seen things are changing by the hour, an election could be sooner than we think, or quicker than Cowen thinks.

looks like all the politicians realized I would be unable to vote on March 11 so they are planning on bringing the election forward so that I do my civic duty of voting for everyone except fianna fail candidates.
