Second Hand Budget Laptop Help!

    Hi

    Im looking into getting a second hand laptop.
    I was looking at ibm thinkpads- either the T60 or T61.

    I'm only going to be using it for college work, watching movies online/dvds and messing around on the internet.

    I dont know much about computers, could someone recommend either and why?

    Also, does anybody know what I should be looking at when I go to buy a 2nd hand laptop? ie check memory/processor etc?
