hi, like i said, the o/h went out to open the boot this evening and it would not open.

    1. ive tried doing it manually, with the key etc.

    2. ive tried locking and unlocking it a few times hoping it would kick in

    3. ive tried hitting the back panela couple of shots. ( dont ask me why )

any suggestions or remedies lads? i dont want to be paying a main dealer €100 just to have a look at it. thanks

might sound simple, try pressing the unlock on the key fob twice rapidly and see if it unlocks

Does the Leon boot open by "flipping" the SEAT badge on the door?
Is this what is not working for you?
    If so.
This happened to me on my Cordoba, there was a little piece broke off the back of the "S" handle. I could get into the boot from lying down the back seat as you can do and get a little screwdriver or a key and you will find a little "pin" sticking down from under the boot lock, you just simply flick this to one side to open the boot.

    Hope this helps

Are the seals just frozen? When you get it open, get some silicone spray and spray it around the seals.
