Essentially a previous generation E-Class I believe, so cant go far wrong when it comes to the mechanical side of things. On the other hand the interiors are very-American! (read as very-shoite).

I think they are cool looking, and I know there are some here gonna shout at me for saying that. The steering wheel is way too big and the ride is a little soft on the rear.
Big tax and fuel bills though :)

Yea, did look at one a few weeks ago. Wasnt impressed with the interior plastics at all. Felt like i was in a mid 90's Daewoo.

Interior isn't as bad as you'd think. Still not as good as rivals. If it's going to be taxied the trim may not stand up in the same way as a BMW or a Lexus. In saying that decent diesel and looks impressive

Cool looking car but visibility is ****e and the diesel is very underpowered in comparison to a 530d / 730d.

I love the estate model - I also love the SRT v8 model, but you'd need to be a loon to own one here.

Remember seeing a dodge magnum in the states a few years back. Same car really. Brand new low spec one for under €12k at the time!

Mercedes and chrysler are the same company.

We'd 2 for sale where I worked before. Never got one normal person coming to look at them, it was always some whacker with a baseball cap, half grown moustache and trainers. For that reason alone, I wouldn't be seen dead in one. Outside Ireland/UK I'd drive one no problems, but they're just associated (In my mind anyway, maybe not everyone else's) with being all about show/bling/bleedin-rapid

lol, spot on. There's one rolling around Cork City frequently enough, not driven by the sort of dude you describe though. Big, middle aged Tony Soprano type dude, used to be on English plates for ages and also there is humongous chrome alloys on it. It does have a lot of presence but not in a good way me thinks.

If 'twas November they were coming in with the taches there's nothing at all wrong with it :P
