I have a cross country race on Sunday. Due to unexpected babysitting issues I have only managed a track session on Monday so far this week. :(

I could get out tomorrow evening for a decent run.

Or could wait until Saturday, run a few slow miles, a few strides to prepare for the next day.

Which would be better do you think?

    Thanks for any advice.

Depends if the race is important or is it part of a long term plan. You could get a descent run in tommorow but I always find its 2 days and not the day before which affects me most.

easy few miles tommorow and 2-3 miles sat with some easy strides.
I know you had baby duties but surely you can find 30minutes in the day to train.maybe im being a little harsh !!!

    Well, it's important to me!

I could have found 30 minutes to train if I brought the smallie with me in the buggy! Or left the kids alone and sneaked out for half an hour. No, my DH had to go away unexpectedly and I missed my regular Wednesday training session, and no chance Thursday either.

Thanks, will get out tonight for an easy one, and nothing too hectic tomorrow.

I've a nice easy course for you on Sunday .
To be honest what you do now won't make a whole pile of difference, would be better to rest today and run easy tomorrow 20-30mins if you can do both, run 30mins today also with a few strides.
