I'm filling out the CAO form and there is 4 courses I want to do. 3 of them are level 8 courses and one is a level 7 course. The level 7 course is my 4th preference so does that mean I put it 4th in the level 6/7 course category? Please Help

No, list it first in the level 7 section. You'll get two offers in August (provided you're qualified for the courses), the highest course from your level 8 list you're qualified for and the highest course from the level 7 list. You then choose which one of your offers you want to accept :)

Add level 7 courses to the level 7 list. Put your choice in the first position on the list. You will then be offered (depending on points), the first level 8 you meet the entry requirements for (i.e, your first second or third choice) and a level 7 course (i.e your fourth preference but the first choice on the level 7/6 list). If you don't get into the level 8 courses, you will most likely be offered the level 7 if you have the points. If you do get into the level 8 course, you will most likely be offered the level 8 course and the level 7. You then simply decline the level 7 and accept the 8 (provided what you want to do hasn't changed)
