Beauty schools are offering courses where one can qualify in 4 or 5 days, while I'd like to do one sometime, surely one can't learn such a skill to a high standard in such a short time?.
    Hope your warm, I'm freezing!

Speaking as a qualified nail tech...a college course can only teach you the basics and the guidelines. For gel/acrylic nails you learn by practicing....after doing say 20 sets of nails you should be pretty confident. Over time you learn wat works for you.
SCD do a 1 year Nail Technician course if you want to do something longer

How would I go about getting experience? friends? about to start a Make Up Artistry course, lasting 10 weeks, when that's done I'd like to do nails.

Do nail courses usually cover nail artistry? by that I mean artistic hand painted/drawn designs such as snow flakes? . Can anyone recommend somewhere where I could learn such, or is it really just about learning alone by oneself?.
