Does anyone know whether we will be given this day off so as we can go and vote or what's the usual story with these things..
just I know my polling station is in Wexford?

Figured here would be as good a place as any to put this?
    :D

I doubt it. Any of the polling days that I remember taking place during the college semester had no allowances made for them. You can either
    1. take the day off from college independently to vote in Wexford,
    2. go about getting your vote moved to the local constituency (Kildare North), on the supplemental register in accordance with this form. You have up until the 14th day before the poll to get that completed form to the County Council that you want your vote moved from.
    3. travel down to Wexford after college, and vote in the evening. Polling stations are generally open till 8 or 9pm, as I recall from the last time I worked as a clerk.

I hope that's of some help to you.

As it is a Friday, and the last day before the mid-term, you'll be done by 1pm at the latest. The polls will be open until 9pm - plenty of time to get to Wexford!

I thought it was given as a day off...the guy that won the first year rep election mentioned how getting the day off for elections was one of the successful campaigns he had been part of.

Nope, my reading of that was Ruaidhri said he was involved in campainging for it.

Usual story then. Be sure to lock any Offaly housemates into the gaffs the night before.
