If an employee gave consent initially for an their image to be displayed where they work, do they have any right insofar as changing their mind and asking for the image to no longer be displayed?

First recourse would be to speak to your supervisor I would imagine...

It would be a friend's supervisor who works in a store.

They have already requested the photo is no longer displayed but were told it cannot be taken down because they have already given consent.

Check the employment contract; it may have been included in a broad sense

    not same issue but similar.

What about having to give one's full name to customers. Surely this is against privacy. Working in a call centre and the boss says we should do it. I always refuse - I give my given name and office location but refuse to give full name (reasons are my privay and social media sites, complaints against the company being personalised against me)
Working in an outsource place so I understand it is difficult to the boss but surely we have rights too.........

Giving a full name in a call centre is like an invitation to stalk.

It's usually considered a no-no across the board to give a full name. Someone I knew who worked in Finnish call centre. They were under absolute instructions never to give either their full names or the address of the call centre.

Contact you HR say you're worried about stalking. It does put people at risk. You do get lunatics turning up at the centre. I know lots of stories of nutters turning up at Irish call centres.

In light of the last post, ask to see his safety statement and insurances. :)
