Does anyone know where I can buy a sweet wine in Galway? My wife and a few friends enjoy this kind of wine over traditional but can't find a bottle in any shops around town.

    As in dessert wine?
Any Supervalu should be able to get it in. Musgraves (The main SuperValu supplier) have an Australian one mad by Nugan. It's called botrytis or something.
    Costs about €14 a bottle

That sounds almost right, I'll have to pay SuperValu a visit! It's not quite a dessert wine that I'm looking for.

According to this Wikipedia article, it's called a Medium Sweet wine. In Italian, "amabile". For sparkling wines, it's "Demi-Sec, Semi-seco".

Woodberys in Middle st would be your best bet.

Cases on the Tuam road also do a good selection

If it's a sparkling one you want, The Italians make a type called Asti Spumante. It's not fermented for long so there's a fair amount of sugars still left in it. It results in it having a low ABV though. About 8%

popped along to recommend Cases as well.
they have a good range. I'd quite like to try this.
