    Hey,

Can anybody recommend any reasonably priced In-ears for playing live. Stage monitors never sound like my sound check so need to invest i think.

in ear monitors are very, very expensive, and unless you are using your own monitor and live engineers at every gig, you will have difficulty getting them set properly live if at all..

Frank Cass in kimmage can make them for you though

Yeah Frank can offer you three types of in-ears ranging from 350E to 700E+. He uses this site:

Check the T1, T2 and T3 sets. You'll need to go to his practise in Kimmage to get the moulds done.

If you want to experiment with a cheaper setup you could try these:

The isolation is really surprisingly good (comes with 3 different size fittings) and they're half price at 20 quid. They're not much different to the IE4's that come with the 900 quid Sennheiser wireless packs.

Plus, if you're the creative type....

I've a set for sale on Adverts at the moment. I found them fine - I used to run without a guitar amp, and used these instead. Only reason I stopped using them was the rest of the band were moaning that there was no backline for them to follow. But they made life a lot easier on the noisy stage!

    cheers...

I was endorsed by ACS and my band all had T2. They have a sort life span of around 2/3 years before you need a remould. They are soft silicon. ACS charge 150 for a recast.

Moved to UE. By far a much better monitor. The digital impression is good but not as good as getting UE's with a good aul fashion impression made.

UE also make a sound tap device that can easily be used in any venue and sounds like what you need.
