What a piece of crap we have bought. If it wasn't for the years warranty I'd be seriously upset.
Has anyone else had problems with this particular car?
I know that the coils go on them and they have on ours. Along with the wiper motor, cat converter, two wheel bearings and a host of other stuff that we will find out about later today.

i bought a 06 megane last september and it has my heart broken, the car will not stay on when you start it when the engine is cold you have to rev the living daylights out of it, such an embarassment at times brought it back to the garage 4 times and they keep saying nothing is wrong with it have had it connected to a diagnostic machine as well, nothing came up, such a pain in the ass, have had loads of other problems with it aswll, will NEVER buy a renault again worst car ever

You got a 12 month warranty on a '02 megane?

I thought I read a post this morning by you getting up on a high horse with someone over making a sweeping statement just like that, I think you called him moronic?

    Not all renaults are ****.

Actually my sister has an 02 clio since new and never had any trouble, girlfriends father has an old shape megane with no trouble, I agree most are sh1t but I'm not really making the point about renaults, roverjames made a big issue in another thread and he has just done the same thing himself.

Ex had an 01 for 5 years with zero problems. Did you check yours out properly before buying it?

The coils probably caused the cat to go. Get as much done on warranty as you can.
Wheel bearings go in any car. Especially if bigger wheels are fitted.

Just be thankful you have the warranty, in this case the warranty work Is more than the car is worth.

I was referring to an 02 Megane Coupe which is not all Renaults ;)
I'm never on a high horse, I'm just right all the time :pac:
