Dunno why I am posting this :pac: just something I was thinking about there a few mins ago ...

Like peoples opinions, and not in the way that "oh i love the movie Inception" and another says they hate it. Thats personal preference. We all seem to respect that. But "opinion" in the sense of nonsensical dribble. I can only give examples I guess to what I mean:

Such as say in the PI /RI forums on here for 1 example. Some person posts how they looked in their partners phone and found a revealing text to their partners cheating. You get people getting back stating how they were wrong is the first place to search their partners phone? While totally disacknowledging the cheating act?

Thats only one example. But I guess you know what i am trying to say. Applies to a variety of things. Im sure reading this you could probably come up with 100 examples :P

So ... just guess i am wondering. do you respect a persons nonsensical opinion or totally go against it? :P

Too late and I'm getting tired now. I just do not want to think. I need to go for a walk around.

Really depends on the level of craziness of the poster and the type of opinion being expressed.. e.g.

"I believe in horoscopes" - deride heartily

"The alien infested, JFK-killing, 9/11 organising government is coming to steal my stockpile of assault rifles and nail-bombs, OH NOES!1!!" - step away from the keyboard

I ignore most of the ranting threads in AH. The thread starters just annoy me too much and I'd end up getting banned from here if I posted what I wanted to say to some of the rants.

Can't believe you use a keyboard THEY use it to send out weak electrical impulses to your fingertips and control your post.

Some of the rants that go on in here are stupid, but we let people rant. They need to vent.
Comments from some of the other people i've seen are childish, like "every time I see someone on the phone driving I want them to crash and die". Not an exact quote, but you get where I'm coming from.
I can be banned from here, or asked to step away for a while. My co mods can infract too if they deem it necessary.
Sometimes its best to bite your tongue, other posters don't and up up getting banned :)

I would not be respectful to my superior intellect if i didn't laugh at silly people's nonsensical opinions.

After reading SOME of the replies to threads..there appears to be a lot of insane and/or self deluded people in Ireland. As for how i respond to them i think they are better off being ignored.

Any nonsensical opinion should be laughed at, and the originator mercilessly humiliated. It's important to be as obnoxious as possible whilst doing this.
