Hey guys, I'm off to london soon and was wondering if there is anywhere I should swing by to get a good deal. Lenses or lighting mostly, but I would survive the thought of a new body.

    Anybody had good experience?

I found the guys in Camera World just off Oxford Street to be great.
    Very helpful and accommodating.
Can't comment on price as I wasn't buying anything too expensive.

These guys are very helpful and friendly.

There are loads of camera shops around Tottenham Court Road (from Tottenham Crt Rd Station up to Warren St Station mainly) area so if you have the time just take a wander round.

Try a shop on Oxford Street at the Tottenham Court Road end called McDonald. Good stock and they'll haggle a bit.
There's a big Jessops further down on New Oxford Street and a shop opposite called Jacobs which caters for pros and has a great selection of bags , tripods and accessories and sells secondhand stuff too.
Don't forget Dixon's in the airport too

I have found Dixons at Heathrow very depressing due to lack of "good stuff" I could be interested in. But for standard and consumer goods, they seem quite well supplied.

Tried and tested over the years:

They're all good for second hand gear; Teamwork in particular.
