ALPS Touchpad Driver 7.2.302.105

I've been looking online for a 'ALPS Touchpad Driver 7.2.302.105' downlaod.

This morning my CPU% went through the roof and I may have deleted the driver by accident in an effort to find the program causing the problem.

The touchpad still works but my sidebar scroll function no longer works.

I've been looking on-line for a download to reinstall said driver but to no avail. Everyone I found is looking for me to pay for it.

Any suggestions?

Yes that look right, but it's a '.zip' file, when I download it, I don't know how to install it. I'm just presented with a file full of other files. Don't know which one will run the application/driver

When you open the zip you should have an option to extract all files.

Save them somewhere you can easily find them like C:/Drivers/Touchpad

Right click on my computer and click properties.

on the left hand side of your screen you should see a link to device manager.

Find the touchpad in the list right click on it and click update driver, you should see an option to specify a folder and browse to the folder you extracted the above files to.

That should sort it.

you see this is my problem, any reference of the driver in Device Manager has disappeared.

Have a look.

Windows has installed a driver for it so look under
Mice and other pointing devices
Or
Human interface devices

It's working, thanks for all the help. I cant see the driver on the device manager menu, but the little icon has appeared on that little icon list on the bottom left of the screen.
