    Hey guys

    Quick question for ye,

My girlfriend has an iPad and her apps are getting a bit messy, I know with my Itouch you can easily create them by holding your finger down on an app and dragging it onto another app.
I've looked up google and apparently you can do it with ipads too but tried it and it just jumps back without making the folder. we've been racking our brains trying to figure it out.

    Are we missing something here??

    Thanks

Are you using the latest software version, 4.2?

Either you aren't doing it right (Not putting the over other apps properly) or you're due a MASSIVE update. Simplest way to check is to double tap the home key, is multitasking enabled? If yes then you're doing it wrong, if no then connect to iTunes.

Try holding one app over the other for a bit longer, until the folder is created, before letting go. If that still doesn't work, maybe a full restore of the iPad?

I've had this too but found the key is to drag the app to the folder, approaching it from below, rather than from the side.

No it's really none of the things mentioned at all, I'm very familiar with creating folders on apple devices i do it all the time on my touch and my brothers iphone.

I've tried every which way on hers and it won't work it's definitely not the way i'm doing it, i was thinking is there a menu function that you turn on to let you allow to create folders.

It's not due an update its fully updated to 4.2!

    it's very strange.
